Evaluation Question 6
EVALUATION QUESTION 6:- WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT
TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING THE PRODUCT?
What is the process you went through to create your
product?

I used a cannon SLR camera that allowed me to focus on my models featured and make it look highly defined so my model stands out a lot because she was on the front cover. I learnt how to use flash because it emphasised the location and surroundings look darker compared to the models this made the models stand out more. It added a cool blue case to in the image, so used to add some warmth. This helped me because it saved time in adding effect because in most of my pictures I auto adjusted them.
I used different types of presentation software’s online to present my planning. I used Prezzi, Emaze, Ticki Tocki, and Slide Share and survey monkey to present my research analysis. Using different types of presentations allowed me to present my planning and analysing different magazines more suitably. For example I used Ticki Tocki to present my data of R&B history on a timeline.
I used Blogger to make it easier to put all my work on to
present it very neatly and for my project to have structure over the period of
the course. I also used DaFont which was a website which allowed me to
experiment with different fonts and allowed me to install them for me to use on
Photoshop.
My evaluation consists of; Imovie, prezzi, emaze, shildshare
and voice thread. I used this because it helped me present my work in more detail
and also made my work more interesting and eye catching as it was presented in
many different ways. It also allowed me to develop my ideas and to explain them
when it came to talking about how the conventions of the magazine.
What post production did you use such as Photoshop and
any desk top publishing software?

I used Photoshop to edit all my pictures and to make the models stand out compared to the background by adding shadow and highlighting around the characters bodies. For my front cover I made it black and white because I wanted it to contrast with the rest of the magazine as I felt this was the most important page and will be the main eye-catching image to consumers. I structured and did my layout onto the Photoshop because it allowed me to make sure all the text and columns were in line with each other. At first I found it tricky to use but with help of peers and self-teaching myself I found it quiet easy to use.
